Completed in 1883, the hotel forms the front of Glasgow Central railway station, directly adjoining the station concourse. It was one of Glasgow's most prestigious hotels in its heyday, hosting visitors such as John F. Kennedy, Frank Sinatra, Winston Churchill, and Laurel and Hardy.
Jill Scott, a former journalist with the Sunday Post, will talk about the hotel and its glamorous exciting past of celebrity, stars, glitz, weddings, kitchens and chefs, fancy dresses and ballrooms.
Tea, coffee, home baking and chat will follow as usual.
